The mortality rate for the top seeds is remarkably high this year with Jelena Jankovic being knocked out by 42nd seeded Thai player Tamarine Tanasugarn who makes it into the quarter final chasing that possible Grand Slam Ladies Wimbledon win. Jelena Jankovic had a shaky start on her previous match but managed to just pull through but was just not good enough for the quarter finals. The Williams sisters however seem to be going from strength to strength and with the top seeds 1,2,3 and 4 knocked out, will this be the Venus and Serena Williams final!
